GMGN Alternative (Self-Hosted): PumpStriker vs GMGN
By Bathyr Devs · Published October 24, 2026
Looking for a GMGN alternative? GMGN is a hosted, multi-chain memecoin terminal with Telegram bots: dashboards, smart-money tracking and one-click trades for a 1% fee per transaction. PumpStriker is a self-hosted bot that scores Solana tokens and pushes HOT/COLD signals to your own Telegram, for $350 once. Disclosure: PumpStriker itself uses GMGN data.
GMGN is one of the most useful data tools in the trenches, and we are not shy about saying so, because our engine runs on its API. The site lists new pairs, trending tokens, insiders, snipers and the first 70 buyers, smart-money wallets, an X tracker and copy trading, across Solana, EVM chains and Tron. For research, it is hard to beat.
So this is less "GMGN or PumpStriker" than "who watches the screen". GMGN gives you dashboards to read. PumpStriker reads the data for you, scores what it finds and pushes only the setups that clear your bar. The other differences are where your key lives and how you pay; the side-by-side below was checked on October 24, 2026.
| Oct 24, 2026 | PumpStriker | GMGN |
|---|---|---|
| Product type | Self-hosted scoring engine, Telegram execution bot and local web dashboard | Hosted web terminal at gmgn.ai plus Telegram trading and alert bots, and a data API (GMGN quick start) |
| How you find tokens | Push: scored signals tagged HOT or COLD land in your Telegram when a token clears your threshold | Pull: dashboards for new pairs, trending, smart money, insiders, snipers and first buyers, plus alerts and copy trade |
| Where it runs | On your own PC or VPS (Windows, macOS, Linux) | On GMGN's servers, through the website and Telegram |
| Custody | Private key encrypted locally (AES-256-GCM); it never leaves your machine | Wallets are generated for you on first use. GMGN's docs say private keys for GMGN wallets cannot be exported (wallet docs) and call the Phantom-login account a custodial wallet account (login docs). Withdrawals need Google Authenticator and a whitelist |
| Pricing | $350 one-time in USDC, USDT or SOL. No subscription, no per-trade fee taken by PumpStriker | 1% handling fee per transaction; priority fees and tips go to validators, not GMGN (GMGN fees) |
| Chains and venues | Solana: PumpFun, PumpSwap, BonkDex, Raydium, Orca, Meteora and Phoenix, routed through Jupiter | Solana, EVM chains (Ethereum, Base and BSC share one address) and Tron |
| Source code | MIT licensed: execution bot open source on GitHub, scoring engine source included with your purchase | Proprietary |
| Protection | Rug checks before scoring; Rug Cancel second pass (RugCheck, insider mapping, GMGN security data) that can auto-sell; MEV-protected sends | Contract security checks; optional anti-MEV mode (Off, Reduced, Secure); auto-sell, take-profit, stop-loss and dev-sell triggers |
| Time to start | A one-time setup: Node.js 20+, a free BotFather token, a free-tier Helius key and a few other free API keys, plus a 30-minute onboarding session | Minutes: connect Telegram or Phantom and trade |
Dashboards vs scored push signals
GMGN is built to be watched. You open it, scan the new-pairs and trending lists, click into a token, check the holders and the smart-money wallets, then decide. That works well if you have the time and the discipline, and it is how a lot of good traders work.
PumpStriker is built so you do not have to watch. It is a self-hosted Solana memecoin trading bot: the engine scans every new token, rejects the obvious traps before scoring (honeypots, live mint or freeze authority, RugCheck rugged flags, insider clusters, bundle dominance, extreme holder concentration, high sell tax), scores what survives, and sends only the setups above your threshold to Telegram. The settings guide explains the HOT/COLD tags and the optional auto-buy with exits armed on fill.
Full disclosure: PumpStriker runs on GMGN data
This is not a "them or us" page, because part of PumpStriker is built on GMGN. As our free API-keys guide shows, the engine uses a GMGN API key as its primary source for holder data, smart-money wallets and a safety fallback. Rug Cancel's second pass cross-checks honeypot status, blacklist functions, sell tax and dev holdings against GMGN whenever that data layer is up. Skip the GMGN key and the bot still runs; it falls back to slower sources.
Signal cards also link straight to GMGN, DexScreener and Jupiter, as clean direct links with no referral redirects. So the honest framing is this: GMGN is a data layer and a trading venue, and PumpStriker is a filter and an executor that you run yourself.
Custody: where your key lives
GMGN generates wallets for you the first time you use its bots. Its wallet docs state that private keys for GMGN wallets, and for wallets you import, cannot be exported, and its login docs describe the account created from a Phantom login as a custodial wallet account. On the safety side, withdrawals stay locked until you set up Google Authenticator, transfers go only to whitelisted addresses, and changes trigger a holding period. GMGN's Q&A also says it has no ability to transfer users' wallet balances.
In short: hosted, your key sits in infrastructure GMGN runs, and you cannot take it with you. PumpStriker's key is encrypted in a wallet file on your machine that you back up yourself, and nothing leaves except signed transactions and Telegram messages. Our answer on whether PumpStriker can drain your wallet explains how to verify that.
GMGN fees vs a one-time licence
GMGN's fee page is short: a 1% handling fee per transaction and no other GMGN charges. Priority fees and tips are paid to validators, not to GMGN. That is cheap to start, and it scales with your volume.
PumpStriker is $350 once and takes no per-trade cut. At 1%, $350 is the fee on $35,000 of trading volume. Trade less than that over the life of the tool and GMGN costs less; trade more and the licence does. Either way you pay Solana network and priority fees, and heavy PumpStriker users may want a paid RPC plan once they outgrow the free Helius tier.
Is GMGN safe?
Nothing here suggests GMGN is unsafe to use today. This is what is on the record, so you can judge for yourself.
- October 25, 2025, sandwich attacks: GMGN said its BSC anti-sandwich nodes were hit by sandwich attacks affecting 729 transactions. It calculated the losses and reimbursed the affected wallets the next day (Cryptopolitan, October 27, 2025).
- October 2025, phishing: a forged third-party token site tricked about 107 users into triggering transactions they never meant to make. GMGN said it would fully cover the losses, credited to users' GMGN accounts the same day, and that the issue was resolved (Odaily, October 28, 2025).
- Controls: Google Authenticator for withdrawals, address whitelists and holding periods after changes, per GMGN's wallet docs.
The practical risks with any hosted terminal are phishing, look-alike domains and session theft, which is why GMGN's own safety page tells you to verify links through its official channels. With a self-hosted bot the risks move to your machine: malware, a leaked .env file or a fake "updated" copy of the bot. Neither model is risk-free; they put the risk in different places.
Using GMGN and PumpStriker together
This is the setup we would suggest to most GMGN users. Let PumpStriker watch every launch, filter the rugs and ping you with scored signals and armed exits. When a signal lands, open the GMGN link on the card to check holders, insiders and the chart before you size up. If you also trade on GMGN, keep a separate wallet for each tool and never reuse a key between them.
Who should pick which
- Stay with GMGN if you enjoy reading dashboards, trade across several chains, and are fine with 1% per transaction and a key you cannot export.
- Pick PumpStriker if you trade Solana memecoins, want a bot that filters and scores for you, want the key on your own machine, and would rather pay once. The 2026 Solana bot comparison puts both next to the other popular options.
Frequently asked questions
Is GMGN safe?
GMGN is a hosted terminal with Google Authenticator 2FA for withdrawals, address whitelists and holding periods after changes. In October 2025 it reimbursed users after sandwich attacks on its BSC anti-sandwich nodes affected 729 transactions, and it said it fully covered losses for about 107 users caught by a phishing site. The main risks GMGN itself warns about are phishing and impersonation, so use official links only.
Is GMGN custodial?
GMGN is hosted: it generates wallets for you, and your key sits in infrastructure GMGN runs. Its docs say private keys for GMGN wallets, and for wallets you import, cannot be exported, and they describe the account created from a Phantom login as a custodial wallet account. PumpStriker keeps the encrypted key on your own machine.
What are GMGN's fees?
As of October 24, 2026, GMGN's docs list a 1% handling fee per transaction and no other GMGN charges. Priority fees and tips go to validators, not to GMGN. PumpStriker is $350 once, with no subscription and no per-trade fee.
Does PumpStriker use GMGN data?
Yes. PumpStriker's engine uses a free GMGN API key as its primary source for holder data, smart-money wallets and a safety fallback, and Rug Cancel cross-checks honeypot status, blacklist functions, sell tax and dev holdings against GMGN when that data is available. Without the key, the bot still runs on slower fallback sources.
Can I use GMGN and PumpStriker together?
Yes. PumpStriker filters every launch and pushes scored HOT/COLD signals to your Telegram, and each signal links straight to GMGN for research. If you also trade on GMGN, keep separate wallets for each tool.
Memecoins are extremely high risk, most tokens round-trip, and no tool removes that. Competitor details were checked against the linked sources on October 24, 2026 and can change. This is not financial advice. DYOR.
