Banana Gun Alternative: PumpStriker vs Banana Gun

By Bathyr Devs · Published October 24, 2026

Looking for a Banana Gun alternative? Banana Gun is a hosted, multi-chain Telegram trading bot with a web terminal, Banana Pro. It charges 0.5% on manual trades and 1% on snipes, and its docs put trades on chains other than Ethereum, Solana included, at 1%. PumpStriker is a Solana bot you run yourself: $350 once, no per-trade fee.

Banana Gun is good at the job it was built for: getting into a token the moment it opens, on many chains, from a Telegram chat. It covers Ethereum, Solana, BSC, Base and several newer chains, and it offers copy trading, limit and DCA orders, presets, and an Anti-Rug feature that tries to exit before a malicious transaction lands. Getting started takes a Telegram chat and a funded wallet.

The differences are structural: where the bot runs, where the key lives, how you pay, and how each one handles a rug. Here is the side-by-side, checked on October 24, 2026, then each point in detail.

Telegram sniper vs self-hosted scoring bot

Banana Gun starts from a token you already have. You paste a contract address, a pump.fun link or a DexScreener link into the chat and trade with your presets, or you set a snipe for a launch. It is an execution tool first, and a fast one.

PumpStriker starts one step earlier. It is a self-hosted Solana memecoin trading bot that finds the token for you: it scans new launches, rejects the obvious traps, scores the rest and pushes HOT or COLD signals to your own Telegram bot. You can buy with a tap or opt in to auto-buy with take-profit, stop-loss and trailing stops armed on fill. The cost is setup and upkeep: you install it, you keep it running, and you secure the machine.

Banana Gun fees, and where the break-even sits

Banana Gun's site lists 0.5% for manual trades and 1% for snipes, with nothing to subscribe to. Its docs are more specific: the 0.5% rate applies to manual buys and limit orders on Ethereum, while the Ethereum autosniper and trades on every other chain, Solana included, are 1%. Gas, priority fees and MEV tips come on top.

For a Solana trader that means 1% of volume, and $350 is the fee on $35,000 of Solana trades at that rate. Trade less and Banana Gun costs less; trade more and PumpStriker's one-time licence wins. PumpStriker takes no per-trade cut, but you still pay network and priority fees, plus any paid RPC plan you choose once you outgrow the free tiers.

Anti-Rug vs Rug Cancel: two different mechanisms

Both features try to get you out of a rug. They work at different moments, so it is worth being precise about each.

  • Banana Gun Anti-Rug is a race. Banana Gun says it monitors contracts and pending transactions as they happen, and when it spots something malicious, such as a honeypot switch, a tax change or a liquidity pull, it automatically attempts to front-run it by exiting your position. It is built for the moment the rug transaction is in flight.
  • PumpStriker Rug Cancel is a second look. Within seconds of every signal, the bot re-checks the token against three independent sources: RugCheck, its own on-chain holder and insider mapping, and GMGN's security data. If something that was not visible at fire time shows up, it sends a CANCEL alert and auto-sells if you are already in. Documented triggers include top-10 holders at 60% or more, the dev wallet at 15% or more, sell tax at 15% or more, a RugCheck rugged flag, an insider cluster holding 30% or more combined, a GMGN honeypot or blacklist flag, and two or more top-tier smart-money wallets exiting.

Neither is a guarantee. A race can be lost, and a re-check can come back clean minutes before a dump. Treat both as a seatbelt, not a strategy, and keep a stop-loss on every position. Our guide to how Solana rug pulls work explains what each check is looking for, and RugKit is our free, open rug-detection kit if you want to build the checks yourself.

The September 2024 exploit, and how it ended

In September 2024, attackers drained wallets belonging to a small number of Banana Gun users, mostly experienced traders, through what the team identified as a potential vulnerability in the Telegram message oracle it used. After a post-mortem, Banana Gun counted 11 affected users and about $3 million in losses. It said every one of them would be fully refunded from its treasury, with no tokens sold to pay for it, and it added a two-hour transfer delay, two-factor authentication for transfers, and audits of its front end and back end (The Block, September 25, 2024).

That is a fair outcome: the team found the issue, paid people back and added controls. It is also a reminder of the structural point. In a hosted bot, the key that can move your money lives on infrastructure someone else runs, and a bug in that infrastructure becomes your risk. In a self-hosted bot the same responsibility moves to you: keep the machine patched, protect your .env file and bot token, and install updates only from official sources, as the best-practices guide spells out.

Multi-chain vs Solana-focused

If you trade Ethereum launches, Base or BSC, Banana Gun covers chains PumpStriker does not touch at all. PumpStriker is Solana only, and it goes deep there: it routes through Jupiter across PumpFun, PumpSwap, BonkDex, Raydium, Orca, Meteora and Phoenix, and its scoring, KOL Touch Detection and rug checks are tuned for Solana memecoins.

Who should pick which

  • Pick Banana Gun if you want an instant start, multi-chain sniping from Telegram and token rewards, and you are fine paying 0.5% to 1% per trade.
  • Pick PumpStriker if you trade Solana memecoins, want the bot to find and score setups for you, want the key on your own machine, and would rather pay once than a percentage forever. The 48-hour refund covers the software not running, not trading outcomes.
  • Use both if you snipe on EVM chains and want scored Solana signals. Keep separate wallets and never reuse a key between the two.

Frequently asked questions

What are Banana Gun's fees?

As of October 24, 2026, Banana Gun lists 0.5% for manual trades and 1% for snipes, with no subscription. Its docs specify 0.5% for manual buys and limit orders on Ethereum, 1% for the Ethereum autosniper, and 1% for trades on other chains, Solana included. Gas, priority fees and MEV tips are extra.

Was Banana Gun hacked?

In September 2024, about $3 million was taken from 11 Banana Gun users through what the team called a potential vulnerability in the Telegram message oracle it used. Banana Gun said all affected users would be fully refunded from its treasury, and it added a two-hour transfer delay, two-factor authentication for transfers, and audits of its systems.

Can I export my Banana Gun private key?

Banana Gun's FAQ says it does not provide an option to retrieve your private key later, so you need to save it when you generate the wallet. You can also import a wallet of your own. PumpStriker keeps the encrypted key in a wallet file on your own machine.

How is Anti-Rug different from Rug Cancel?

Banana Gun's Anti-Rug watches contracts and pending transactions and tries to exit your position ahead of a malicious transaction. PumpStriker's Rug Cancel re-checks each token after its signal against RugCheck, on-chain insider mapping and GMGN data, then sends a cancel and can auto-sell when a threshold trips. Neither guarantees you avoid a rug.

Is there a Banana Gun alternative without per-trade fees?

Yes. PumpStriker is a self-hosted Solana bot sold as a one-time $350 licence, with no subscription and no per-trade fee taken by PumpStriker. You still pay Solana network and priority fees. It is Solana only, so it does not replace Banana Gun on EVM chains.

Memecoins are extremely high risk, most tokens round-trip, and no tool removes that. Competitor details were checked against the linked sources on October 24, 2026 and can change. This is not financial advice. DYOR.
